Jazz Jennings was born and spent the first few years of her life living as a male. At the age of six, she and her family began filming a series of videos about her growing up as a transgender child. Jazz has been blessed with the opportunity to tell her unique story on the nationally broadcast television shows 20/20 and the Rosie O’Donnell Show.
In 2013, Jazz wrote a children’s book, titled I Am Jazz, along with writer Jessica Herthel, sharing her experiences from the perspective of a transgender child. It was published on September 14th, 2014.
Jazz was a special guest at the 2014 GLAAD Media Awards, sharing the stage with Zach Wahls, advocate and author of My Two Moms, and transgender fashion model Lauren Foster.
